Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Scott Olguin to the Texas Real Estate Commission. Olguin’s term will last until January 31, 2031. The Commission is responsible for protecting the public in its interactions with real estate brokers and salespersons.

Olguin, who resides in Horseshoe Bay, works as a vice president at Dimensional Fund Advisors. His previous roles include serving as a firefighter with the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department and acting as director for the Central Texas Electric Cooperative. Additionally, Olguin served in the Texas State Guard and was honorably discharged in 2010.
