Austin Energy has introduced a new digital feature called the Solar Insights tool, which is now available to residential solar customers through the City of Austin utility customer portal. The tool allows users to monitor their solar energy production year over year and compare it directly with their energy consumption, all at no extra cost.

The initiative aims to give customers more detailed information about their solar energy usage and system performance. According to Austin Energy, this move supports its broader objectives of improving customer satisfaction, increasing transparency in data sharing, and encouraging community involvement in renewable energy.

“Our goal is to empower customers with the tools they need to make informed energy decisions,” said Richard Genece, Austin Energy Vice President for Customer Energy Solutions. “The Solar Insights Tool reflects the utility’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and a more transparent customer experience.”

Residential solar customers can access the Solar Insights Tool via COAUtilities.com. Additional details about Austin Energy’s solar programs are available at AustinEnergy.com/solar.
