Crow Holdings has announced plans to develop a 245-megawatt data center campus in central Dallas. The project will be built on approximately 40 acres along the Stemmons Corridor, an area the company has owned for decades. The first phase of construction will include a 70-megawatt facility, expected to be completed by late 2027.

The real estate investment and development firm is partnering with CleanArc Data Centers for this multi-building project. According to Crow Holdings, the site’s location near existing data center hubs such as Infomart at 1950 Stemmons Freeway and DataBank’s interconnection hub is intended to provide low latency for users who rely on cloud computing networks and artificial intelligence.

CleanArc, led by industry veteran James Trout, will oversee development and leasing for the new campus. The company is currently building close to one gigawatt of capacity in Virginia, and its leadership team has experience with more than two gigawatts of mission-critical facilities.

Crow Holdings stated that this initiative is part of a broader effort to expand its digital infrastructure portfolio nationwide. The firm is considering over three gigawatts of potential data center capacity in other markets, including New Jersey, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Demand for data centers in Dallas-Fort Worth increased significantly in 2025. Cushman & Wakefield reported that these facilities accounted for 21 percent of new demand among warehouse and distribution properties in the region. A CBRE report previously cited by The Real Deal projects that data center inventory in the metroplex could more than double by the end of 2026 (https://www.therealdeal.com/texas/dallas/2024/03/28/dallas-data-center-inventory-to-double-by-2026-cbre-says/).

Other notable projects underway include Google’s $880 million investment at its Midlothian campus and “Project Stargate,” a $400 billion joint venture between Oracle, OpenAI, and SoftBank that opened its first campus in Abilene last year (https://www.therealdeal.com/texas/dallas/2025/01/17/oracle-openai-softbank-launch-400b-project-stargate-in-abilene/).
