Yet another luxury mansion has changed hands in Dallas, contributing to an estimated $70 million in residential sales within a 10-square-mile area over the past two weeks.

The Sharif Family Revocable Trust, led by local entrepreneurs Sardar and Rida Sharif, sold their newly built six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home at 1 Dorset Place in Preston Hollow on Monday. The buyer is a trust owned by Tu and Alex Dao, who serve as CEO and president of Orthomed Anesthesia. Public records confirm the transaction.

While the final sale price was not disclosed, the property was listed for $23 million at the time of sale. The Sharifs had purchased the land in 2022 when it was listed for $2.8 million, according to Zillow and Redfin data. The sellers were asking about $1,500 per square foot for the 15,700-square-foot home on an acre lot. Built this year, the house features neoclassical architecture with a symmetrical design and cut stone veneer, as well as a garage that can accommodate up to 15 cars. Jonathan Rosen of Compass Real Estate represented the listing.

The Dorset Place mansion went on the market in October alongside several other high-end homes concentrated in Dallas. A nearby residence on Hunters Glen Road listed for $26 million became Texas’s most expensive new home for sale at that time. Other notable listings last month included Larry Lacerte’s Highland Park property at $35 million and a castle in Houston at $60 million.

Recent trends show some top-tier Texas homes selling below their original asking prices. For example, aerospace manufacturing executive Guinn Crousen sold his Highland Park mansion for $25.5 million after listing it at $32.5 million. Similarly, Josh Pack’s University Park residence fetched $30.5 million following an initial price of $35 million.

Both transactions occurred within recent weeks and are located close to the Daos’ new home in Preston Hollow.

Jonathan Rosen did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the sale. In Texas, disclosure of final sale prices is not required by law.

According to public records, Sardar Sharif acquired another property—a five-bedroom, eight-bathroom house at 10260 Strait Lane—in September through what appears to have been an off-market deal.
