Fort Worth’s first luxury condominium units are now available to the public, with the Seven at Bowie House development in the city’s Cultural District marking a milestone for high-end residential offerings. The fourth unit at 1217 Dorothy Lane is listed for just under $5.5 million, which comes out to about $2,000 per square foot. These condos are attached to Bowie House, an Auberge Resorts Collection hotel.

The home is still under construction and measures 2,700 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Other condos in the development range from two to four bedrooms and have asking prices between $5.5 million and $6.4 million, according to Douglas Elliman agent Hannah Sullivan, who represents the listing.

Entrepreneur and cutting horse champion Jo Ellard developed Bowie House after recognizing a need for luxury accommodations in Fort Worth while attending equestrian events in the area. The hotel and condo project is located near Dickies Arena and Will Rogers Memorial Center—venues that host rodeos and horse competitions—and is also next to River Crest Country Club.

“It’s really the only thing like that there,” Sullivan said. “We really don’t have any competitors.”

These condos are among the first branded luxury residences not only in Fort Worth but across Texas. Similar projects underway include Ritz-Carlton residences, another Auberge-branded condo development, a St. Regis tower in Houston, and The Knox in Dallas.

Although three of the seven units have already been sold privately, this fourth residence marks the first public listing, according to Sullivan. The remaining units are also under construction; two more are expected to be listed later this fall.

Residential inventory has been growing steadily in Fort Worth, signaling a shift away from a seller’s market. However, housing supply remains lower than averages seen in Dallas or across Texas as a whole (https://therealdeal.com/texas/2024/06/10/fort-worth-teetering-toward-buyers-market/).
