Governor Greg Abbott has announced a new series of appointments to key positions across Texas.

Ashley Wysocki has been appointed as Judge of the 301st Judicial District Court in Dallas County. Her term will run until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

For the Gulf Coast Protection District (GCPD) Board of Directors, Governor Abbott reappointed Roger Guenther and named him chair. Sally Bakko, Michel Bechtel, Sharon Hulgan, and Lori Traweek were also reappointed to the board for terms ending June 16, 2029. The GCPD is responsible for managing an integrated coastal resilience strategy for the upper Texas coast.

Robert Rucker was appointed as Injured Employee Public Counsel with a term expiring on February 1, 2027. The Public Counsel’s office supports injured employees within the Workers’ Compensation system by overseeing the ombudsman program and advocating on their behalf.
