Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Ashley Morgan to the Texas Water Development Board. Her term will run until February 1, 2027. The board is responsible for leadership, planning, and providing financial and technical assistance for water development in Texas.

Ashley Morgan is an attorney at Erben & Yarbrough based in Georgetown. Her previous experience includes roles at the Office of the Governor, the Office of the Attorney General, the Railroad Commission of Texas, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. She is a member of several organizations including the State Bar of Texas and serves on the UT System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee. Morgan also volunteers as a docent at the Governor’s Mansion and participates in activities with the Stephen F. Austin Alumni Association.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law.
