Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Brady Franks to the Texas Water Development Board, with a term ending on February 1, 2031. The board is responsible for providing leadership, planning, and technical assistance related to water development in Texas.

Franks currently serves as the State Budget Director in the Office of the Governor. His previous experience includes co-founding and serving as chief executive of MF Advisors, working as director of government relations at the University of Texas at Austin, and holding various roles in the Texas House of Representatives for ten years. Among those roles was Senior Budget and Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the House.

Franks holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government, a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning, and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.
