J. Brian Williams has been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve as Judge of the 503rd Judicial District Court in Rockwall County. The appointment is effective December 1, 2025, and will continue until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Williams currently serves as the Rockwall County Court at Law Judge. He has previously served as president of both the Rockwall County Bar Association and the Rockwall Rotary Club. He also holds the position of vice president with the Rockwall County Open Space Alliance and is a member of both the State Bar of Texas and the Texas County Court at Law Judges Association.

Williams earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
