Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marco Trevino to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Trevino’s term will run until February 1, 2029. The board oversees the regulation of social work practice in Texas.

Trevino, who is from Edinburg, works as a licensed clinical social worker at Alivio Counseling Services, P.C. He serves as board president of the Community Council of the Rio Grande Valley and is a member of both the National Association of Social Workers and the American Red Cross. Trevino holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in social work from University of Texas – Pan American.
