Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Neyma Figueroa to the Texas Energy Reliability Council. Her term will last at the discretion of the Governor. The council is responsible for ensuring that Texas’s energy and electric sectors address critical infrastructure needs, prioritize human needs, and improve coordination within the industries.

Neyma Figueroa is based in San Antonio and works as an attorney and senior counsel at Valero Energy Corporation. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and The William N. Sessions American Inn of Court. In addition to her professional work, Figueroa volunteers with organizations such as the Valero Texas Open, San Antonio Academy, and First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio.

Figueroa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from New Mexico State University and earned her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law.
