IAM negotiations team member Mark Costa, a flight service specialist, has described his role as providing important weather and safety information to pilots. Costa represents Local 2010 in Reston, Virginia. He noted that his team, along with members of Local 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas, is preparing for contract negotiations with the government contractor Leidos.

Costa stated: “I am responsible for providing critical weather and safety information to pilots.” He added that both Locals are getting ready for talks with Leidos regarding their contracts.

The upcoming negotiations highlight the work of air traffic controllers and related specialists represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).
