The 2025 IAM International President’s Classic golf tournament raised over $150,000 for the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL). The event took place at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine, and brought together members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), labor allies, and supporters from across North America.
According to IAM International President Brian Bryant, “This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us. Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”
Participants included dozens of teams who competed on behalf of the museum. The day also featured raffles, giveaways, and remarks from both IAM Union officials and leaders from Maine MILL. Attendees came from various sectors within the labor movement to support the Lewiston-based museum’s mission.
Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of Maine MILL, said: “This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”
Funds raised by the tournament are designated for rehabilitation work at Maine MILL’s future home in a former Camden Yarns Mill building. Construction has started on this site in Lewiston, with an opening planned for summer 2026. The new facility will include space for permanent collections as well as temporary galleries, classrooms, a children’s area, and a design lab.
The event was supported by more than 50 hole sponsors. Major contributors included several IAM offices—such as its International President’s Office—and law firms along with other organizations.
