IAM Local 1746 and the IAM Union Eastern Territory have continued their annual partnership with East Hartford Public Schools in Connecticut for a fifth year. Their collaboration centers on supporting a backpack rally event, where volunteers from both groups collect donations, pack backpacks, and distribute school supplies to students.

During the distribution day, volunteers handed out thousands of items including pencils, pens, rulers, activity books, stickers, and other school-related materials branded with the IAM union name. The event aims to provide necessary supplies to local children as they prepare for the new school year.

The initiative highlights ongoing community engagement by IAM Local 1746 and its partners in the region.
