Members of IAM Local SC 711 at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas have ratified a new three-year collective bargaining agreement with M1 Support Services and its subcontractors. The contract, which covers 29 skilled trade classifications including aircraft mechanics, avionics technicians, supply clerks, and librarians, will take effect on January 1, 2026.
The agreement includes an 11.4% compounded general wage increase over the contract period: 4.5% in the first year, followed by 3.5% and then 3%. Other terms include increased paid leave with eight additional hours of sick leave for all members, a five percent increase in 401(k) contributions, maintenance of the IAM pension plan, an extra $390 per month earned during the contract’s duration, and company coverage of increases in the rehabilitation plan. The contract also introduces new on-call and standby pay provisions as well as language to protect overtime pay.
“This contract reflects the dedication and unity of our membership at Nellis, and the strength of our union’s voice at the bargaining table,” said IAM Western Territory General Vice President Robert “Bobby” Martinez. “The negotiating committee fought hard to deliver the wages, benefits, and protections our members not only need, but absolutely deserve. I thank the committee for their efforts, our members for standing strong, and IAM Aerospace Coordinator Denise Heath, whose expertise and steady guidance were key to securing this strong agreement.”

IAM Local SC 711 became an independent local chapter in 2016 after previously being part of another local more than 25 miles away. This move allowed them to better represent their specific needs on-site by increasing meeting participation and strengthening their presence within their workplace.
