IAM members working at Greyhound have ratified a new three-year collective bargaining agreement. The contract, which applies to Greyhound workers across the country, includes wage increases of 3.75% in the first year, 3.5% in the second year, and 3.25% in the third year. Health and welfare contributions will rise over the duration of the agreement but will keep the current cost share split for participants in the IAM Healthcare Plan.

Additional changes include a revised vacation schedule with lower service requirements, an increased commercial driver’s license (CDL) premium, a higher tool allowance, and a $50 reimbursement for prescription safety glasses. Open enrollment for benefits will now coincide with contract renewal periods. The agreement also introduces new recognition and pay structures for Junior Master and Master Technicians who hold ASE certifications, offering premium pay above journeyman rates.

“This was a challenging negotiation due to Greyhound’s transition to its new parent company Flix SE, but our team secured the best contract to date for our members,” said IAM Automotive Director Craig Hughes. “I want to thank IAM leadership for expanding our department and bringing on Special Representative Heather Hildebrand. Heather did an outstanding job leading these negotiations for the first time.”

Hildebrand described the ratification as significant progress for union members at Greyhound.

“Our members stood strong, and we delivered real gains in pay, benefits, and career opportunities,” said Hildebrand. “It was an honor to lead this negotiation alongside such a committed bargaining committee. This agreement reflects the strength of IAM members at Greyhound and the value they bring to the company every day.”
