The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced the opening of its 2026 IAM Scholarship Competition. Applications will be accepted online from October 1, 2025, until February 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The competition is open to IAM members with at least two years of continuous service and their children who are current high school seniors in the United States and Canada. Details about eligibility requirements and application procedures can be found on the IAM Scholarship Competition page.

According to the IAM, more than 300 individuals applied for the scholarship in 2025. Sixteen scholarships valued at $4,000 each were awarded to members and their children that year. The program also includes a vocational-technical two-year scholarship option for eligible applicants.

The IAM Scholarship Fund was created by delegates at the organization’s Grand Lodge Convention in 1960 to support these awards.

More information and access to applications are available on the IAM Scholarship website.
