Registration is now open for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training, organized by the IAM Veteran Services Department. The training will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Interested members must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.

The program offers specialized instruction on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits, delivered by certified professionals. Upon completion of the course, participants will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team—a network dedicated to assisting IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to organizers, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

The call letter for this event includes details about tuition policies, transportation arrangements, and curriculum information.

Members can register using the Departmental Program Registration Form. For additional questions or information about the training program, contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
