The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department has opened registration for its upcoming leadership programs in March 2026. The Women’s Leadership Program will take place from March 1 to March 6, while the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is scheduled for March 15 to March 20. Both sessions will be held at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

According to the IAM, the Women’s Leadership Program aims to encourage union members to become more active within their local and district organizations. The program focuses on building leadership skills and covers topics such as organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

The Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is intended for those who have already completed the initial program. It offers participants an opportunity to further develop their leadership abilities by expanding on previously learned skills in similar areas.

“IAM sisters are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership,” according to a statement from IAM.

Details about tuition, transportation, and curriculum can be found in the official call letter. Registration must be completed using the Departmental Program Registration Form provided by IAM.

The deadline for registering for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. For those interested in the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program, registration closes on February 11, 2026.

Members seeking additional information or who have questions are encouraged to contact the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department at 301-967-4747.

Eligible members are urged by IAM officials “to take advantage of this important educational opportunity and continue building a stronger, more inclusive IAM.”
