As the year draws to a close, International President Brian Bryant of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM Union) addressed union members with a holiday message.

Bryant expressed appreciation for IAM members and their families, acknowledging their contributions during the holiday season. “As we close out another year, I want to wish every IAM Union member and their families a joyful, safe, and meaningful holiday season. This is a special time – a moment to pause, to reflect, and to appreciate the people who make a difference in our lives,” Bryant said.

He highlighted the vital roles played by IAM members across various industries, including airports, railroads, shops, facilities, and worksites that serve millions daily. “The IAM Union represents members across so many industries that keep our world moving. From our airports and railroads to the shops, facilities, and worksites that millions rely on every day, your talent and dedication keep this country running, even as others head home to celebrate. I see the sacrifice, the long hours, and the pride you take in your craft. It doesn’t go unnoticed,” he stated.

Bryant emphasized that union membership extends beyond labor contracts or negotiations. “The holidays also remind us that our union is more than contracts and negotiations – it’s a family. It’s the way we show up for one another, lift each other, and make sure no member stands alone. That spirit of solidarity is what makes the IAM Union strong, and it’s what gives me hope for the year ahead,” he said.

He concluded his message by thanking members for their work in both their communities and on behalf of working people everywhere: “Thank you for everything you do, not just for our union, but for your communities and for working people everywhere. We are grateful for each and every one of you.”

On behalf of the entire executive council of IAM Union, Bryant extended wishes for peace and opportunity in the coming year: “On behalf of the entire IAM Executive Council, I wish you and your loved ones a season filled with peace, warmth, and gratitude – and a New Year full of hope and opportunity.”
