IAM members from the Southern Territory met in Biloxi, Mississippi for the Southern States Conference. The purpose of the gathering was to reinforce solidarity and develop strategies to increase legislative and political influence across the region. Delegates and leaders focused on ways to protect workers’ rights, expand union membership, and promote policies that benefit working families in southern states.

The event included discussions about how to defend labor rights and support pro-worker initiatives. Participants also shared ideas for organizing efforts aimed at growing the union’s presence in the South.

“We are committed to defending workers’ rights, growing our membership, and advancing policies that help working families,” said one delegate during the conference.

This meeting is part of ongoing efforts by IAM members to coordinate activities and strengthen their position throughout the southern United States.
