The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) recently conducted its 2025 Joint Air Transport Safety Committee (JATSC) Conference at the William W. Winpisinger Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The event focused on several key areas related to air transport safety.

According to the IAM, the committee concentrated on advancing collaborative safety initiatives, including the Ground Safety Action Program. Efforts were also directed at preventing injuries, reducing hazards, supporting training and education, and promoting strong systems for reporting safety concerns in the workplace.

The conference featured daily video wrap-up reports, which provided overviews of the sessions. These included presentations addressing distracted driving and workplace issues such as carelessness and complacency.
