IAM Union members at Atlantic Aviation Teterboro have approved a new collective bargaining agreement that brings changes to wages, benefits, and working conditions. The agreement was negotiated by IAM District 142 and includes wage increases for all levels and classifications, a $1,500 signing bonus, retroactive pay back to the expiration of the previous contract, premium increases, sick time buyback provisions, and updates to vacation accrual and shift language.
The contract also introduces improvements in surveillance policies and progressive discipline procedures. According to IAM Air Transport Territory General Vice President Richie Johnsen, “This agreement reflects the power of union solidarity and the commitment of our members at Atlantic Aviation TEB. This contract was won by the hard work, unity, and determination of our membership.”
IAM District 142 leadership has stated they will work with company management to ensure smooth implementation of the new terms. John M. Coveny, Jr., President and Directing General Chair of IAM District 142 said, “This contract delivers meaningful economic gains and important workplace protections. It’s what our members fought for and what they have more than earned.”
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers emphasized its ongoing commitment to protecting member rights through collective bargaining efforts.
