Dozens of workers from Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico, along with their supporters, held rallies at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and at the company’s facility in Aguadilla. The demonstrations were organized to call on the company to stop what they describe as union-busting tactics and efforts to divide the workforce.

Participants at the rallies delivered a message urging Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico to respect the workers who are responsible for maintaining aircraft safety. According to the organizers, the company has engaged in actions aimed at undermining union efforts and creating divisions among employees.

“Stop the union-busting tactics, end the efforts to divide workers, and respect the professionals who keep aircraft flying safely every day,” stated rally participants.

The rallies took place at two significant locations: the main international airport serving Puerto Rico and Lufthansa’s maintenance facility in Aguadilla. The workers and their allies expressed concerns about the impact of these labor practices on both employee relations and aviation safety.

No representatives from Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico have issued a public response regarding the allegations or the rallies at this time.
