Partners Real Estate has appointed Peter Mainguy as executive managing director for its services business in Texas, according to a company announcement. Mainguy will oversee brokerage, property management, valuation, and project management operations from the firm’s Houston headquarters. He is also joining Partners as an equity partner.
Mainguy brings significant experience to the role, having spent nearly ten years at CBRE as senior managing director for the Houston and Louisiana markets. Before his tenure at CBRE, he led global real estate at Sysco Corporation and managed a portfolio spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. According to LinkedIn, this marks Mainguy’s second stint with CBRE; he previously served as vice president of brokerage services before moving to Sysco.
In his new position at Partners Real Estate, Mainguy will work closely with John O’Neill, who leads the Southeast region for Partners after previously working at Cushman & Wakefield.
The company stated that “Mainguy’s hire reflects Partners’ effort to expand across the Lone Star State and cement its presence on the national stage.”
This leadership appointment follows recent moves by Partners Real Estate to strengthen its team. In March, the firm hired several professionals from Cushman & Wakefield’s Houston office leasing group. Chip Colvill joined as head of the team along with Michael Anderson, Win Haggard, and Damon Thames as equity partners. Brad Beasley, Diana Bridger, and Connor Saxe came on board as senior vice presidents. Colvill had previously founded Colvill Office Properties before it was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield in 2020.
Founded in 1997, Partners Real Estate is a privately-owned commercial real estate firm operating throughout the Sun Belt region with offices in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Atlanta. The company manages service lines including investments and development arms alongside its core offerings. It has developed various industrial, retail and office properties within Texas’ major metropolitan areas.
