The developers behind Houston’s first Ritz-Carlton have selected a sales team to bring the high-end residential project to market. Deiso Moss and Cleary Interests have appointed Karla Dupre, along with Redeavor Group, as exclusive sales representatives for The Ritz-Carlton Residences Houston, according to a report from the Houston Business Journal.
Karla Dupre is known for her experience in luxury high-rise developments across Texas and internationally. Her background includes work on projects such as DC Partners’ Allen Residences in Houston, The Arts Residences in San Antonio, The W Austin, and The Omni in Fort Worth. Although she is co-founder of San Antonio-based Derive Development Group, that company is not involved in this project.
Redeavor Group will oversee broader sales and marketing efforts for Deiso Moss and Marriott’s Ritz-Carlton brand.
Deiso Moss had previously announced its partnership with Marriott on September 10, which marks Ritz-Carlton’s return to Houston after a 27-year absence. The new building at 2120 Post Oak Boulevard in the Galleria district is being designed by Pickard Chilton with Ziegler Cooper as architect of record. The 44-story tower will be over 600 feet tall and feature interiors by Rottet Studio. Plans include 156 hotel rooms and 114 residences.
According to the developers: “timeless architecture” and a level of hospitality not previously seen in Houston are among the project’s goals.
The smallest residential units will start at 2,200 square feet with views of the Galleria and Uptown areas. Amenities exclusive to residents will include a private motor court, lobby, elevator bank, optional private garages, and access to another 50,000 square feet of hotel amenities through resident-only entry points.
This project follows an earlier proposal from Deiso Moss for a mixed-use tower on the same site that was delayed despite securing a $26.1 million bridge loan from Northwind Group in 2022.
The new development is currently Ritz-Carlton’s only presence in Houston and its third location in Texas. Previously, the brand operated at River Oaks until the late 1990s when several U.S. properties lost their branding rights.
Ritz-Carlton continues to expand its presence in Texas. In The Woodlands area north of Houston, Howard Hughes is developing another standalone Ritz-Carlton-branded condominium project featuring two towers connected by amenity space. That property will offer around 40 floor plans across two 15-story buildings with amenities such as lounges, private dining spaces, wine cellar, sports simulator room, lakefront fitness center, and more than 1,200 feet of shoreline reserved for owners.
