TCEQ approves more than $2.8 million in environmental violation fines

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved fines totaling $2,360,925 against 25 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions covered several categories, including nine air quality cases, one industrial hazardous waste case, one industrial wastewater discharge case, two multi-media cases, one municipal solid waste case, one municipal wastewater discharge case, two petroleum storage tank cases, six public water system cases, and two water quality cases.

In addition to these penalties, the executive director approved further fines amounting to $448,340 against 118 entities on August 26 and September 9.
