The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties amounting to $788,363 against 25 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions include agreed orders in several categories: five for air quality, two for industrial wastewater discharges, four multi-media cases, one municipal solid waste case, five municipal wastewater discharges, one petroleum storage tank case, four public water systems cases, and one water quality case.
Additionally, default orders were issued in two air quality enforcement cases.
On October 14, the TCEQ executive director also approved penalties totaling $190,725 against 68 entities.
