The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $1,751,893 against 22 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions include agreed orders in several categories: four air quality cases, two industrial wastewater discharge cases, two multi-media cases, eight municipal wastewater discharge cases, and five public water systems cases. Additionally, a default order was issued for one petroleum storage tank violation.
On January 13, 2026, the executive director approved further penalties amounting to $157,838 against 49 entities.
