TCEQ approves over $325,000 in fines for environmental regulation violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved a total of $312,001 in penalties against 14 regulated entities for violations of state environmental rules. The enforcement actions included agreed orders covering three air quality cases, one municipal wastewater discharge case, five public water systems cases, and one water quality case. Default orders were issued in four instances: one petroleum storage tank violation, one public water system violation, and two water quality violations.

Additionally, the TCEQ executive director approved $13,925 in penalties against two other entities on August 12 and August 19.
