The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) is encouraging individuals applying for new licenses, renewing existing licenses, or registering business entities to use its online services portal for fee payments. The agency states that this method is both secure and accessible at any time, with the portal available 24 hours a day throughout the year.

According to TREC, recent updates have been made to the payment page as of August 2025. The agency has released visual guides and a brief instructional video to help users navigate the online payment process. These materials show each step involved, from selecting the appropriate payment option on the Quick Start Menu to answering required questions before reaching the Payment Information window.

TREC emphasizes that entering an email address on the Payment Information page is necessary in order to receive a receipt for transactions. If no email address is provided, a receipt will not be sent.

The commission also reminds users that staff cannot accept financial information over the phone or complete payments on behalf of customers in order to protect user security. Those with questions about making payments online are encouraged to contact TREC directly.

“Please note that to protect your security, TREC staff cannot accept financial information over the phone or complete a payment on your behalf.”
