Texas Real Estate Commission welcomes new public member Scott Olguin

The Texas Real Estate Commission has announced the appointment of a new public member. Governor Greg Abbott named Samuel S. “Scott” Olguin to the commission on September 17, 2025. Olguin, who is from Horseshoe Bay, will serve a term that runs until January 31, 2031.

Olguin replaces Jason E. Hartgraves of Frisco, whose term ended in January. With this appointment, Olguin becomes the last commissioner selected for the current season. Other recent appointees to the commission include Kristi Davis of Carrolton and James B. “JB” Goodwin of Austin, both serving as broker members.
