Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced a new branding agreement with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, adding four Choctaw Casino & Resorts properties to its global portfolio. The partnership brings the flagship Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, located about 90 miles north of Downtown Dallas, as well as resorts in Hochatown, Pocola, and Grant into Wyndham’s Trademark Collection.

Under the terms of the deal, the Choctaw Nation will maintain full ownership and management of all four casino resorts. Wyndham will support distribution and loyalty programs but will not operate the properties. Nearly 2,000 rooms across these resorts are expected to become available through Wyndham’s booking channels in the coming weeks. Members of Wyndham Business, a travel program designed for corporate travelers and small businesses, will also have access to these locations.

The agreement is part of Wyndham’s approach to expand by affiliating with independent or regionally strong hotels rather than building new properties or acquiring existing ones. This strategy allows such hotels to benefit from Wyndham’s marketing reach and loyalty programs while retaining operational control.

Wyndham President and CEO Geoff Ballotti said in a statement: “The affiliation checks travelers’ boxes in a number of ways, creating distinct experiences.”

Chief Gary Batton of the Choctaw Nation commented on maintaining cultural identity while reaching broader audiences: “The partnership elevates the guest experience by pairing Choctaw hospitality, culture and entertainment with Wyndham’s global recognition and loyalty ecosystem.”

This move reflects changes within tribal gaming real estate as operators increasingly develop destination-style resorts that appeal to leisure travelers nationwide.
